The Journey

While on a trip to Maryland for an interview, Ryan nervously swiped through a dating app on his phone when he came across Jessica’s profile. Jessica was working in Washington DC and Ryan in New York City.

They both were hesitant, wondering if there could be a connection great enough to be worth the train rides and bus tickets. While they don’t agree on who messaged first, they both agree that matching was the best thing they ever did.

After dating for a mere few months, an opportunity Ryan couldn’t refuse turned up, calling him to California. With Jessica still living in DC, she and Ryan were faced with a big decision.

They both felt like there was something special between them that was too important to lose. In just a short period of time, they already knew they loved each other, and it was time to see if they “worked” on the golden coast.

After spending years together, they decided it was worth spending their lives in pursuit of those things that enrich their lives every day; cooking, caring, challenging, changing, and committing themselves to each other and their families.
